Boys at the Beach

Today the boys hit Crystal Cove and Balboa Island... Just for fun. We remembered to have our son wear his swim suit because no matter how much you tell a 9-year-old not to get wet... They get wet. Always...

At Crystal Cove State Park, the boys started investigating tide pools at one end of the beach and moved up the beach to Pelican Point. There they investigated and photographed a smelly cave. Granted it wasn't really a cave just a hollowed out cliff but it still needed investigation.

For lunch they stopped at an Italian restaurant on Balboa Island then hit the old-fashioned sweet shop. A couple Chunky Bars, Snow Caps, and Dark Chocolate delicacies later they came home.
