Saturday -- A Little Fun
On Saturday we went to the North Lake and spent some time in the sun. There is a bridge that goes from one of the lagoon on one side of the lake to a small park and the tennis club on the other side. There is also a walking path around the entire lake.
This is the view across the top part of the lake. We are sitting on a small pier. To our left is the bridge, to our right is a small waterfall, behind is a playground (where you can find Dimitri at the moment), and behind the house is one of the mountains to the north. The marine layer, as they call it, was slow to burn off today.
This is one of the birds that was swimming around and diving. It is called an American Coot.
Dimitrios was sitting on the pier and this young lady came over and sat by him. They sat and talked for several minutes.
Dimitrios enjoyed fishing off the pier though he didn't catch anything. That may be because of the time of day but he still had fun.
After all that, he went swimming in the lagoon. It is a man-made swimming area with built in slides and rock formations. It's pretty sweet.
