A Walk in the Park
This weekend we took Nana and Papa to the OEC at the Irvine Park in Orange, CA. We had the trails all to ourselves and were able to see some interesting wildlife and plants without the hindrance of horses or mountain bikers.

A print from one of the mountain lions in residence. Though we never actually saw them I bet they were watching us.

These signs are everywhere. Though we didn't see any snakes we did see evidence they'd been around.

We came across one of the burn areas. The green is starting to come back though it is still very black in most places.

This particular kind cactus was everywhere. Each giant clump was full of the bright red/magenta fruit. It was a spectacular site!

Picture of the kids by the silo up on one of the hills through the burn area.

Solar and wind power help keep costs down. The windmill was going so fast it was actually humming. This particular windmill and solar panel were by the mining camp.
