On the Road -- Day Two

The trip today was about 512 miles. All in all it was a very long day. Dimitrios spent most of his time watching videos (Avatar to be exact). He finally put it away when we got to the hotel in Clinton, OK. We opted for a hotel because it was to hot and sticky to try camping. We also needed a good night sleep. The views in Missouri were beautiful, especially in the mountains. We had a great temptation to stop at Lake of the Ozarks but we wanted to get a least 500 miles in. When we crossed into Oklahoma it was pretty flat but the views were equally interesting with a great deal of dark red dirt everywhere.

After packing up we were able to get on the road. This is the Oklahoma state line.
