Yesterday (Wednesday) we went out to the beaches. Dee requested we visit Crystal Cove because he love looking for various sea creatures in the tide pools. However, the tide was quite high and we were not able to find too much in the way of creatures... Just lots of walking around and running from waves. Cold waves... It was very beautiful when the waves would splash up against the rocks.

Waves coming in to one of the tide pools. At one point Dee's feet got swept out from under him. If dad and papa hadn't been holding him he would have been swept up to the beach.

Nana and Papa checking out the tide pools.

At Laguna Beach main beach Dee tried out his new boogie board. He didn't do too bad but the water was so cold he only went a couple times before his lips were blue. We told him we would have to look into a wet suit and that would help with the cold. I'm not sure he believed me...

So instead of hitting the waves he decided to be creative instead.

A gorgeous sunset from the patio of The Greeters cafe. The food was simple but tasty and the view was beautiful.

A gate that was hanging on a flagpole in front of the ice cream shop we stopped at for dessert. It says "This gate hangs well and hinders none. Refresh and rest then travel on." All in all this was a great day and I look forward to exploring Laguna Beach again.
